The certification responders work toward is the NC Certified Rescue Technician.  Formerly the NC Emergency Rescue Technician, the possessing individual must meet rigorous standards in order to acquire this status.

Rescue Officers

The Rescue Division of Oak Hill Fire & Rescue provides emergency services which encompass, but are not limited to, vehicular and structural entrapment, low/high angle rescue, searches, extended incident time frames, along with fire and medical support.

Engine 4 is the primary first out apparatus for extrication calls. It is a primary pumper with a small water supply and extrication tools.

Rescue 1 is our secondary rescue apparatus which has no water supply. It does contain a full service SCBA refill system and equipment for entrapments as well as other types of emergencies.
